Could you imagine that bikes could be used to correct habitual offenders of law? Kimber Heddon who works for the Florida Department of Corrections at Gainesville would show you how this could be done. Gainesville is already known well as the home of many biking communities. Fierce loyalists of bikes who live here would vote for bikes as the best mode of transport. The whole world would agree with them gladly as the bikes do not need fuel and do not pollute the atmosphere with harmful emissions. Officer Heddon from gainesville bikes too is a lover of bikes and has been a probation specialist into correcting the habitual offenders of law. She has done extensive research on their behavior and psyche and has come up with very interesting findings. In her opinion the offenders have disrespect for the society as they do not have a job and do not posses a personal means of transport. It is well known to all people that those who have a vehicle at their disposal have bright chances of getting a job. The vehicle would help them commute between their work spot and home. That is why this officer with a kind heart has started the biking for life scheme. Each of the habitual offenders who are undergoing correction with her are given bikes to ride to their job. The bikes help them to reach the work spot at the correct time and also make them regular employees. A regular job and a personal means of transport make them good citizens again.
