Responsible Biking in Gainesville

October 13th, 2009

Bikes are not for those who would not ride them responsibly. The bikes are designed as pleasure vehicles that could at best be used for building up fitness. There is hardly any safety feature except for the brakes that would protect the rider. Bikes would not protect the rider in caser of an accident even it is maintained in the top condition. Benjamin Higginbotham aged 21 is a resident of gainesville bikes. He was riding on his bike with his helmet on. He was using the paved track that is meant to be used by the bikes. Nothing unusual happened and he was wearing all the protective gear. He failed to notice a stop sign at a road junction and collided head on with a Chevy truck. The truck hit the bike with such an impact that Higginbotham was thrown away. He was severely injured and the Gainesville hospital did not have the required to treat him. So he was flown to Florida University where the required medical facilities were available. He is still reported to be in a critical condition. Benjamin would be out of harm’s way today if he had been a little more careful. His failure to see the red signal has proved too costly.

Story of Gainesville Bikers

October 13th, 2009

Buddy Boren has successfully emerged from the clutches of death. Today he is back to normal and is actively involved in his usual routine.   He wants to show the other cancer patients that they too could fight the disease if they had the will power to do it. He wants to put out a message to the cancer patients that they too could be back to active life like him if they had a will to fight against the disease. The patients who are devoid of hope are not going to be impressed if he drives around in a powerful SUV. No body is likely to believe him even if he shouts at the top of his voice. This is not the way to show the world that he is fit again. So he chose to bike around several states and spread the message of hope. Bikes display the strength and resolute will power of a person. He started on a bike from gainesville bikes and headed westward armed with road maps. He undertook the first trip on a bike from Gainesville and rode for fifty seven days. He covered a distance of 3100 miles and every where he went he spread the message of hope for the cancer patients.

Gainesville, FL Biking Precautions

October 13th, 2009

Bikers can get into nasty accidents if they do not take adequate precautions. It is not the BMX vert bikers alone who need the protective gear like helmets. No one can see a vert biker perform on the vert ramp without his helmet firmly strapped on. It is the helmet that protects the life of the biker every time he falls off it. Bikes are wonderful for a ride across the town at any season. You could ride it for pleasure, fun, exercise and fitness. You can also ride on a bike to work.  But you should also remember that this is a flimsy machine that is not designed to offer any meaningful protection to the biker. A patient brought to the gainesville bikes hospital with serious brain damage would stand testimony to this fact. Robertson did not have his helmet on while he was riding his bike. A car came from the rear and hit him. The impact was quite massive and Robertson was thrown off the bike. When he landed, his head hit the ground and his skull was smashed instantly. This accident could have been averted if Robertson had been a little careful on the highway. The brain injury would not have occurred if he had strapped on his helmet.

Rules to Biking in Gainesville

October 13th, 2009

Bikers do not realize that they can not afford to be careless with safety equipments. Bikes are excellent means of transport and offer excellent entertainment and fitness. A biker who was admitted in a serious condition at the gainesville bikes hospital is a sad reminder of this fact. Robertson the biker from Lake City has suffered severe head injuries as he was not wearing a biker’s helmet when he got into an accident. A car that came from the rear hit Robertson’s bike with a massive impact and he was flung into the sky. The bike was completely damaged and Robertson landed on his head that was unprotected. If Robertson had worn a helmet he would have got away with a few bruises and a fracture perhaps. This incident shows the need for professional approach towards biking. Sure, biking is a pleasure activity but taking on the highway without wearing a helmet is suicidal, to say the least. Robertson suffered severe fractures on his skull and his brain too is reportedly damaged. It is highly unlikely if Robertson would ever be able to ride a bike again. This is an entirely avoidable injury if Robertson had strapped on his helmet before he started off on his bike.

Professional bikers

October 13th, 2009

Bikers always get noticed by the society and are welcome at all places. The main reason is that biking is a romantic affair that gives every one nostalgic memory about their childhood. The bikes do not pollute the surroundings and do not make any noise. Bikers are always associated with sportspersons while motorcycle riders are seen merely as drivers. This is the reason why bikers receive a tumultuous welcome at all places even though they are perfect strangers. The message that they carry or the campaign that they run are always well received by the general public who have a deep rooted affection for young people riding on bikes from one town to another.   High school students are advised to keep away from tobacco related products by the team of bikers who would visit many places in Florida including gainesville bikes. This campaign is undertaken jointly by professional bikers and also skateboard riders who are on bikes. There would be acrobatic displays by vert bikes for the students who could see that perfect health and fitness could be achieved only by keeping away from tobacco products. These vert bikes would perform on vert ramps which would be a feast for the eyes. The show is organized only for the students and general public are asked to keep away.

Wearing helmets

October 13th, 2009

The regions surrounding gainesville bikes as well as those inside it have been witnessing a sharp increase in the rise of fatal hit and run accident cases. Most of these cases involve bikes and their reckless drivers who do not care about the safety and security of themselves and as well as others. Whenever a bike accident occurs, people are more prone to get head injuries and die on the spot. This happens so because the head houses the most vital organ of our body, the brain. The brain is a very delicate and fragile organ. And damage to it may cause serious side effects to our body. Even the slightest damage to the human brain can lead to instant death or paralysis of the whole body or the nervous system. Whenever we sustain a head injury, we may take it lightly as we may not see any external bleeding or injuries. But damage to the brain is mostly naked to the human eye. So we must treat head injuries seriously and go for immediate treatment to cure it. To prevent head injuries during accidents, we must always wear safety helmets as they protect our head and brain during a fall.

The park has also been proposed to have a track for people who are very much interested in riding their BMX bikes. The people of Gainesville are very much interested in promoting sports and games and hence they are most likely to approve the proposed plan for building the skate park and also the BMX track in the new park that is going to be built very sonly. Once built, the park will be frequented by people from all age groups. They can come here to skate, bike and play with their family and friends or spend their leisure time watching Mother Nature.

Cyclist accidents are a very frequent sight in the regions surrounding Gainesville. Since the areas surrounding gainesville bikes have good and conducive road conditions for cycling, many cycling enthusiasts head to Gainesville for spending their leisure or free time to cycle around the countryside so that can relax and be tension free. But the number of cyclist accidents is increasing day by day in the regions surrounding Gainesville and that too the accidents involving cyclists and bikes have been on the rise. Due to such accidents, many innocent cyclists have sustained serious and grievous injuries. Many of the cyclists have even had the ill fate of losing their lives in such freak accidents caused mainly due to the negligence of the bike riders who ride at very high speeds on the roads surrounding Gainesville. The traffic authorities of that area are trying their level best to prevent more such incidents in future. But even when the road traffic authorities put up sign boards warning the bike riders to go at moderate and safe speeds while travelling, many of them don’t follow it. So the traffic police have to be stricter and vigilant and punish those who disobey the traffic rules without any consideration.
